Shelter2Home Transitional Structure Approved as Housing for Displaced ICC Staff

The R&R Department has recently approved the Shelter2Home design for transitional housing. The unique design of these shelters allows for the addition of an unlimited number of units in order to create larger living spaces, and eventually structures that displaced ICC staff can call their homes. The frames of these units are made of galvanized steel and the walls are made of proprietary metalized film that deflects 97% of the sun’s heat. These shelters are not only durable they are easy to assemble, and the exterior walls can be stuccoed to make the structures look more like a house.

ICC is pleased that 34 of these shelters will be made available in the near future to house numerous displaced ICC staff that have been living in deplorable conditions for the past six months. We would like to take the time out to thank the ICC Haiti staff and to recognize them for their commitment and dedication to the ministry of ICC.
May God bless you all!!

We will provide more updates as we receive them.
