Generator Needed for Surgeries; Help Save a Life Today

eye care

The ministry of Grace Children’s Hospital began in 1967 to serve children who suffered from diseases like tuberculosis and malaria. While the inpatient services for children is still central to International Child Care’s mission in Haiti, services have expanded to include outpatient services for children and adults, community health services, reproductive health, and state-of –the-art eye care services.

The eye clinic opened in a new building across the street from GCH in May 2007, providing basic eye exams and eye care, as well as advanced ophthalmological care. Patients receive care not available anywhere else in Haiti, such as cataract surgery, but the current electrical situation is unsafe and frustrating. Doctors performing operations have lost power twice in the last week. In order to maintain the highest care standards and reputation of ICC, this generator purchase is necessary and urgent.

We have a special request for our supporters- we need your help to purchase the generator. It is estimated that it will cost around $30,000 US , with additional fees for delivery, installation and fuel.  ICC relies on generator power because public utilities are expensive unreliable; your investment today will help ICC Haiti provide the best possible care the most amount of patients, and last for years to come.  We need your help.
